The ACES Academy for Global Engagement (Global Academy) is a unique training program designed for junior and mid-career faculty in the College. Admitted faculty participate in a series of scholarly and experiential activities designed to prepare them for lifelong academic engagement in the global arena. In particular, the program exposes faculty members to resources available on campus and externally that enable and support international engagement. This program encourages the development of international programs within faculty disciplines and across the College of ACES. Through a capstone international immersion experience, the Global Academy facilitates and promotes strategic relationships with institutions around the world and raises the international status of the College.
Academy Fellow is a title issued to those who have completed the Academy Scholar program. These Fellows serve as mentors to the academy scholars in subsequent program years. This group of Fellows should be actively involved in the development of the program, serve as mentors to participants, lend their expertise to the formation of the immersion focus and design, and provide presentations to the scholars as applicable.
The Global Academy is currently in its 12th year.
